The Rzeszów Carpathia Festival 19-25.05. 2010.

"The Rzeszów Carpathia Festival" is a meeting place for the vocalists, musical bands and organisers of cultural activities from all over Europe. The idea of the organisation of the Festival belongs to Anna Czenczek, the Festival Director, and the Centre of Vocal Art in Rzeszów. The members of the Festival Jury are European musical personalities - Dorota Szpetkowska, Zygmunt Kukla, Jerzy Dynia, Ruggero Robin, Egon Póka, Peter Lipa, Attila Weinberger.

The soloists, duets and trios, performing to the accompaniment of the Festival Orchestra conducted by Zbigniew Jakubek, and musical bands qualified to take part in the Festival shall obligatorily perform an original song from the kind of widely understood popular music (pop-music). The total pool of prizes for the winners of the Festival amounts to PLN 80,000 (EUR 20,000). The Grand Prix of the Festival - PLN 45,000 (EUR 11,250), the Audience Award and an award for the 1st place - PLN 7,500 (EUR 1,975) each, and awards for the 2nd and 3rd place and distinctions - PLN 20,000 (EUR 5,000).

The "Carpathia Festival Vocal Workshop", with the recording of a record, takes place within the "Rzeszów Carpathia Festival". Numerous accompanying events take place during the "Rzeszów Carpathia Festival". They include: the "Days of the Visegrad Culture", with the cycle of concerts of Polish and European artists, meetings with the participants and stars of the Festival in the EMPIK Salon, multimedia shows, exhibitions, recitals, as well as special light entertainment programs for families.

The concerts opening the Festival are the premieres of the vocal and dancing shows performed by the artistic group from the Vocal Art Centre in Rzeszów, to the accompaniment of the Festival Orchestra conducted by Zbigniew Jakubek, directed and prepared by Anna Czenczek - the Director of the "Rzeszów Carpathia Festival"("Bad People" - premiered in 2005, "There's Nothing Like a Pomp" - premiered in 2006, "Fashion And Love" - premiered in 2007, "LO. BO. GA. Boys" - premiered in 2008, "Let's Twist Again" - premiered in 2009.

The partners of the Festival, co-financing the event to a large extent, are: the City Council of Rzeszów, the International Visegrad Fund and Podkarpacki Bank Spółdzielczy - the Titular Sponsor of the Festival.
